Meet our research team

Rhys Turner-Moore

Dr Rhys Turner-Moore is the project lead and a Reader in Psychology at Leeds Beckett University. They are passionate about participatory research and lead the project's action research workshops.

Dr Alice Lemkes is the Research Fellow on the project. She is passionate about epistemic justice. Alice keeps the project ticking over and helps lead the Action Research phase of the project.

Dr David Carless

Dr David Carless is a Reader in the School of Health and Life Sciences at the University of West Scotland. He specialises in narrative inquiry and arts-based research; he leads the qualitative longitudinal research.

Dr Aleks Krotoski

Dr Aleks Krotoski is a Social Psychologist at Pillowfort Productions. She specialises in understanding virtual lives and spaces. Aleks leads the digital ethnography.

Professor Georgina Jones

Professor Georgina Jones is a Health Psychologist at Leeds Beckett University. She specialises in quality of life measurement and decision-making in the context of women's reproductive health. She connects the project with health networks and conducts analyses on the health implications.

Dr Tanya Palmer

Dr Tanya Palmer is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Sussex. She is passionate about making legal issues more accessible to the public. Tanya advises on the legislative and criminal justice implications of the research.

Dr Lucy Frith

Dr Lucy Frith is a Reader in Bioethics at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on the social and ethical aspects of healthcare practice, regulation and policy. Lucy is our Public Involvement lead.

Professor Allan Pacey

Professor Allan Pacey is an Andrologist at the University of Sheffield. He is an academic and clinician specialising in male fertility/sperm. Allan connects the project to health networks and conducts analyses on the health implications of the research.

Jessica Mayes is a Research Assistant on the project and has taken the lead on the research and writing of the Rethinking Fertility Access report
