Online Sperm Donation: The Basics
An alternative way to conceive, written by people who have done it

We are the Online Sperm Donation Project Recipient Action Research Group.

 

We represent people who are looking for sperm, or have found sperm online, plus their partners.

This 'Welcome Pack' brings together all of our first-hand experience of online sperm donation. This is the information we wished we had had before we started our journeys and we hope it helps you to understand more about online sperm donation, what to look out for, and how to do it.  We hope this booklet is useful for a wide audience: recipients, donors, family members and friends, and healthcare professionals looking for a non-stigmatising perspective on online sperm donation.

This group arose out of a four-year research project on online sperm donation. Ten researchers from five organisations collaborated on the project from 2022 - 2026 to understand this important and underserved topic. The project was financially supported by the Economic and Social Research Council in the UK.

 

The Online Sperm Donation Project Recipient Action Research Group’s first-hand experience of OSD grounds the Project’s research, and propels it towards action with the aim of making OSD safer, happier, less stigmatised, and more useful for everyone involved.
